Well, it's beginning to look less and less like a road trip, and more and more like a moving party. Boo. I still might be able to bus or train my way out there, but that kinda takes the "road" out of "road trip". I'll hopefully have some solid move in/out dates soon, so I'll know for sure then I guess. :-/

sorry Paul, health and money problems are going to keep me from going. just starting to get where I can walk around the grocery store. I am going to see how I do car camping this weekend up in the sierras with my dad while he goes bowhunting. I was really looking forward to going on this trip too.

Hey Bud, just glad to see you back around here Take care of your self. That is number one. I have been getting lots of folks asking to do another hang next spring and fall again so there will always be another time.

And lots of details yet to sort out. Drove though Pettit lake campground a few days ago. There are only a couple of the site that are suitable for hammocks so I will need to be making reservations soon. Also temps up there are quite cool so plan on cool weather gear for night time. Lows will likely be at or below freezing.

Any one that is coming for certain needs to let me know as soon as possible if you have not already. Space at the campground and "official" spots looks to be more guarded than most campgrounds in ID with a camground host and fenced off campground area versus the trail head area.

    Unhappy

Well, due to moving, it looks like this is a no-go for me::
I will get out there one of these days!

    Regrettably,

The trees, Paul, how big? Are 6' tree straps going to be sufficient?

They were all skinny lodge poles, 2 foot straps should be more than enough in the CG, for the hike folks plan on 6-8's
