    Rookie from Arroyo Grande, Ca

    Morning All,

Just bought my first hammock, after sitting my nephew's, in the Sierra Mountains.

I picked up an ENO single nest, REI sale, and have since made whoopee slings and tree straps. Did a test hang in a local park, and still trying to get things sorted.

Not sure I can sleep in it yet, but plan to test it out at home over the weekend.

We like the Sierra mountains, but many nights are above tree line, so sleeping in a hammock over the course of our normal week trip could be a challenge.

    Big Ditch!

Welcome to the forums, my wife and I are from the central coast and miss the SLO life terribly.

I'm still getting things figured out as well, I highly recommend getting some Zing-It and putting a structural ridgeline on your rig... makes it sooo much easier to get a good hang.
