Thanks Mule . I do feel better about having it done . Known about the problem for about 3 years now .

That makes me a confirmed wimp. Doc's told me it would take two 3 inch incisions, 6 weeks recovery, 6 months rehab, and about 15k, to set my knee right. I told them, I'd never have that kind of time or money, and it felt like I'd be able to hike on it in a month or so to me. One of them (the one that was most concerned with payment arrangements) seemed to agree, with my diagnosis.....made the most sense finacially at least.

Good to see you got it done. Three years, you were probably pushing it just a bit, you got it before it got you. Well done! See you in the pineys!

Yeah , when I started getting woozey every time I bent over and strangers were coming up to me in Walmart saying " are you OK sir " ." Hell yes Im , ok Im a backpacker by god ", I really didn'nt say that .
