Sorry to hear about Thorwren's food poisoning. I ate some bad chicken at trail days a few years ago. Not fun.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

Just a great bunch of people.

Thorwren made one of the whoopie slings while I gave her the tutorial on the 1.5 hour long trip down to the fair. By the time she was done ( the first always takes the longest) She was ready to make another one because it was that much fun.

We went out to eat at a place called Max and Erma's. I then proceeded to splill TWO (2) drinks in his lap, kind of like a domino thing. Shug, I promise, I am not usually a clumsy person. LOL. Then, both Shug and I had separately contacted the manager in secret so that we could pay for everyone's dinner...too funny (I won by the way). So we ate and talked until they had to kick us out at 10:30pm or something like that. After we left the building we kept talking in the parking lot for another half hour...LOL. Good times.

If any of you are in the central ohio area you can get on the Ohio State Fair website and look for his schedule. He will be there all this week. Do NOT miss his show. It was great! (Oh yeah, we caught his 6:00 show, and we were glad we stayed!)

On a crappier note...Thorwren got a hold of some bad food at the fair and has been paying for it since BEFORE we got home last night.. She is still in bed as I am typing this. I am sure she will be fine in a day or so.

You sure she's not expecting another little stormcrow? Or not that kind of sickness?

Hope she's feeling better soon. I wish I could have made it to Ohio while Shug was still there. I'd like to meet Sean sometime.

Oh, Dutch- "never"? We gotta get you to the Minnesota State Fair!
Mini-donuts, corn dogs, Pronto Pups, Pickle on a stick, Pork Chop on a stick, lots of other things on sticks, FRESH milkshakes, deep-fried turkey legs, deep-fried cheese curds, deep-fried candy bars..... I could go on and on. Your taste buds will love it! (Your arteries, eh, not so much.)

Oh yeah, side benefit: this guy named Sean Emery performs every year. His show is HILARIOUS, and he's an extremely talented juggler. After seeing him, my son now balances brooms, rakes, yardsticks and anything else he can get on his chin.....

I searched for this in Hangouts, Campouts, and Trip Planning (and elsewhere) but didn't find anything. Is there a thread discussing said activity? Gives me a deadline for purchasing a hanging kit.

Hang with Shug in Linville Gorge October 9-11

When we organized a Linville hang in May, Shug mentioned that he was going to be in NC early in October. Slowhike penciled in the date, and will start a thread soon, I'm sure. Perhaps I should ping him about it...

Here's the post. Here's the thread.

Hopefully things are still looking good for Shug making it to NC & Linville Gorge.
If so, we should start another thread!

Thanks. I'm planning my troop's calendar so I'll clear that weekend.

MacEntyre, I'll be curious to see the Molly Mac Pack. I'm attending trail maintenance training 9/18-9/20 in Shenandoah NP; looks like your pack is just the ticket to carry heavy tools.
