Nightly Hammocking & The Effect On Your Relationship

My woman doesn't mind that I hammock, but making it a nightly thing would be detrimental because she loves to cuddle and fall asleep. The only reason that sucks is my back ends up hurtin' come morning time, without fail.

Are there any of you that have a partner, yet you sleep in a hammock nightly? Is an ENO DoubleNest a possible solution for cuddly sleeping (we weigh about 265-ish combined)? Does anyone sleep with your partner in a hammock with any kind of frequency?

Tell me I'm not alone in this dilemma!

I can tell you there is no way you will feel comfortable in a double nest for a long time. I have one and my partner and I weight about 290 together and the hammock sags so much it puts pressure on my legs. Hammocking for couples is doable but not enjoyable in my experience.

Curious too, hopefully there are suggestions aside from replacing the hammock with a larger one.

I'm not married, but I'll share my experience. When I sleep over my girlfriends place, I have my own hammock stand for myself, and when she sleeps over she has her own hammock for herself. It works out for us, she doesn't mind, and sleeps well in either mattress or hammock.
As far as together in a hammock, we have taken naps together in a Yukon double, its doable, and depends on your comfortable of being against each other. We have cuddled as well as slept feet to head in the same hammock. I can spend 2-3 hrs with her in the hammock, never tried a full night.
Best advice is, get a big enough hammock, like 12ft long and 6-7ft wide, and try it out.
    I'd rather be hanging.

For the last couple of weeks I've been sleeping some nights per week in my Blackbird. I have a young son who is keeping both my wife and me awake multiple times per night. So sleeping in the hammock is catching up on some zzzz's and I love it. I do miss her but I also enjoy a good night, uninterrupted sleep...maybe I'll just hang another hammock next to mine for her in the future.

Get a Brazilian hammock. The largest Brazilians are larger than any camping hammock I ever saw. Well, maybe with the exception of the TTTM "Mammock". But who can hang a 20' hammock??

I sleep nightly in my hammock. I think my wife enjoys having the whole bed. We shared our bed for 42 years so we feel secure enough to sleep separately. Maybe you could hang two hammocks side by side, close enough to touch and still be comphy.
