Hey everyone! I've been a fan of hammock camping since my first makeshift hammock out of a poncho liner, some 550 cord and a poncho tarp during my time in the US Army in 1999. I always preferred the hammock vs. ground sleeping whenever chance allowed us to. Fast forward a few years and much to my enlightenment, I discovered that hammock camping was a legit way to sleep in the wilderness! I'm a big fan of DIY gear, and seeing others' projects as well. I've even managed to convert some of my friends to hammocks after lending them one of my spare DIY hammocks during some camping trips.
