    New Hammock Ive never seen

So yesterday I went to a local army surplus store to look for knick knacks for camping. Lo and behold I found a bridge hammock that appears to be a military jungle hammock. I couldn't find a picture of it online so here is the best description i could come up with

The hammock is typical olive green and is single nest size maybe 8 ft long. It weighs around a pound and the bridges are actually supposed to be sticks that you pick up in nature (ideally green wood I would guess) These sticks are placed in sewn in seamson either side. The ropes then are tied to both the bridges and the hammock and tied to each tree in a triangle slipknot fashion where there are two ropes that meat behind one tree on opposite ends.....

Any one ever come across one of these before? Could make a great bridge hammock for my wife who is a stomach sleeper.

You say the sticks go in the sides not the ends? Sounds like an army stretcher hammock to me, sometimes called the SAS jungle hammock.

Sorry bad description... The ends that would be the same side as a gathered end hammock

Price was 25 bucks which I bought immediately so the wife could try it before I got her a ridgerunner

Sounds like an M1966. Not a bridge hammock... The sticks are basically spreader bars. It hangs like the standard backyard hammock. I don't think it would work for a stomach sleeper like a bridge hammock would.

    Is it this one?

If so, it's an M65 Jungle Hammock and is fairly uncomfortable and tippy, by all accounts I've seen (never tried it myself, so can't really comment there).

I have tried it, and yes it is tippy and uncomfortable. I did not like it at all. I had a hard time zipping it up once I got in. It seemed like my weight in the hammock prevented it from zipping. It was many years ago, so my memory is not that clear.
