When I made my hammock I out a ridgeline in it following the 83% formula. I'm thinking it's too short for me. I saw the war bonnet video with the 60 degree bend, and mines too tight for that.
I've read on here about how to make an adjustable one, and I think I'll just go the truckers hitch route until I get it dialed in. I'll put a series of dots along the rope, so I can try it in measurable, repeatable increments. So here are my questions - what increments should I use to space the dots, and what's the longest beyond the 83% i'll likely need to go? 6 cm? 6"? A foot?
