    How things have changed!

    Hey all,

Just found this site doing some reading about getting back into a hammock, wow how things have changed!

I grew up camping through the Adirondacks in a rope hammock with a homemade nylon tarp over me, some of the best nights sleep I can remember. That hammock traveled the world with me as a Marine, I was a helicopter crew-chief, and that was my bunk on many a night.

So, after I got married we took to the ground as the wife was not a fan of the hammock idea, then we took to RV'ing while the kids were little. So now my boy is ready to do some real camping again and I am really looking forward to testing out some of the amazing innovations I see out there now!

    See you around!

Welcome aboard. Yes, it's hard to tell which is worse the technology shock or the sticker shock! ;-)

Welcome, from the son of the of a Marine Sikorsky pilot. Great place here. Enjoy.
