The forecast is starting to make me sad. High of 35 and low of 15. We are getting close enough that these numbers might just stick .

On a related note I did a successful test run last night and set a personal record for an overnight@ -8f and -20f windchill! I'm so ready for some real cold!!!
    Directionally challenged...comicly so.

Not all who wonder are lost...But I'm probably just lost.

Ok... Woke up this morning with blisters on the back of my throat, feel run down and achy. If I do not have a miraculous recovery in the next 48 hours will probably be opting out of the trip. Will keep u posted. Sorry folks but arctic air is not conducive to recovery from tonsilitis. If I do cancel I WIlLL be doing a cold camping run sometime this winter just to justify buying all of this winter gear!

Get better Radiohead! Kaycee is right... bring a comfortable chair or stool to spend some evening hours in. Also a lexon or plastic spoon is better than metal for eating, metal gets cold quick.

If the weather continues to warm as forecast, those with mukluks will probably want to plan on an alternate pair of waterproof boots. I've already packed a pair of winter hiking boots. I'm considering adding a pair of shorts and sandals too.

Who is confirmed for the Wed night? There are only 3 so far on the spreadsheet. I need to know so I know how much food to have for that night. There seem to be a lot of people who haven't even added themselves.

Exclamation Food Volunteers and Spreadsheet Updates Needed

Looks like we also need more food volunteers for the whole event, and those that have volunteered food to indicate a meal and day. Please make sure you have updated the spreadsheet with what you are bringing. It is also good to have more than one volunteer and food per meal. I cleaned up the spreadsheet and this is what we appear to have according to the second tab:

    Wed (Setup)
    Dinner: Kaycee Beef Stew

    Thursday
    Breakfast Kaycee, Breakfast Sammies
    Dinner Kaycee, Minestrone Soup

    Friday
    Breakfast: Vampiresmiley, Oatmeal and fixin's
    Dinner: Zac Thorn, Creole stew

    Saturday
    Breakfast: None
    Dinner: Jay Larson, pork chilli
    Hillbilly, Chili

    Sunday
    Breakfast: None

Please add or correct anything in the spreadsheet. I don't mind volunteering for another meal, but I'd like to know where we really need it. Also, if you haven't already, please confirm your participation and planned days on the spreadsheet.

    Thanks,
    Vampiresmiley

Well Said, A canoe can float, and move in the wind,
It can be guided and carried by one,
Done with two the workload is reduced and the benefits enjoyed by all.

I added a side dish for Wed night. I'll also have some sausage to add to any pot meals if needed. I usually have my own breakfast prepared.
Any word from the organizers, Hillbilly and Vineygirl?

I haven't heard from them in a while, but I sent both of them a PM to check on their plans.
