Have you ever put a hole/tear in your hammock?

    1. Yes
    2. No

Discovered a hole in the WBBB. Good news was it was very small. One grid square of the ripstop. Patched it with couple self adhesive ultra light bicycle tube patches. An option which I didn't have to use is Tyvek tape. Have used the tape to repair windsurfing sails. From the Dacron to monofilm material. Works well and lighter than DuctTape.

Not yet, but I'm sure its a matter of time. A couple of close calls with tent stake in the pocket. I'm carrying a fix kit of peel n stick ripstop, just in case

Wasn't a tear or a complete hole, but about a month before I left for the AT I discovered a big 'thin' spot in my Eldorado. Sent it to Brandon for a just in case patch. Worried about it for about 3 nights, then never thought about it again.

Think it was the metal clasp on the back of one of my hats. I don't get in my hammocks with hats anymore.

I put a 2 inch rip in the bottom of my HH ULBA.

I use a CRKT M21 folding knife out bush. It lives in my pocket during the day and I hang (hung) it on the ridgeline using the pocket clip at night. Seems I was tossing and turning one night and I woke up with the knife under me and a hole in the bottom of the hammock.

Then and there, in the middle of the night I donned my LED headlamp and fixed it with my sewing kit. Standard household thread but stitched over three times. I used it for about two weeks after with no problems and the repair is holding strong.

Lesson learned about hooking things on the ridgeline at night.
