    I LOVE THIS STATE!
Brian at OES has been teasing me about his temps vs mine, I'll tell you the same as I told him, first...BITE ME!! second, talk to me at Christmas when I'm cooking out in my shorts and a tee and you get frostbite going to your car....if your car will start.. (I'm a former Chicago resident)

    Nice try!
We had to turn the A/C on last January for a couple of days. 80 degrees is hot when you're used to 40s.

    Chicago...ummm.....they have good pizza!

But, it does bring up another side of this discussion. Humidity can have a massive effect on relative comfort. 30F in this arid climate feels like about 50F on the east coast. That in itself allows me to go 'colder' with less gear out here. So, a person considering themselves to be a mildly cold sleeper might just find they are a warm sleeper out here (based on gear ratings alone).
    Trust nobody!

The first year I moved here people had coats and sweaters on at 65 degrees. In Chicago thats a heat wave. Then again I almost died my first summer here, 32 days in a row over 100 degrees. Now 60 feels chilly to me so maybe you CAN get used to temperatures and can lose you ability to withstand them as well.
