I'm not worried about seepage at the corner tieouts. Stitch afterwards if the wax paper doesn't do it.

I would stay away from paper of any sort. The reason is that your having the entire fabric dry to the paper and it may help peel the corner. The inside fabric of the pocket is not a problem if not sealed.
After dipping the tarp and hanging to dry, slip in a "shoe horn" made of wire. A simple cone will be fine. Make it oval instead of circle so as to allow the corner to stay wide and not pucker around the circle.
When dry, only a little bit of the pocket may stick to it.
Good luck.

try cutting a piece of plastic from the bottom of a margarine container or something to the size of the pocket, but coat it in vaseline before you put it in. The silicone shouldn't stick to it, and shouldn't have any averse effects. Again, try it on a scrap piece first if you can.
Rat, you are a genius. Thank you!
I'm going to pick up a thing of petroleum jelly and we're going to be trying out multiple approaches. We'll see which way works best. Updates will be coming soon cause the fabric is on its way. 25 yards 1.1 ripstop, and got the bone rings and the double fold bias tape ready to go. I wish I had been smarter and I would have been saving ketchup and mayo jars for the plastic. That would have been perfect. But, I'm not that smart so we have to figure out different ways.
