We have been very busy here. We moved my MIL into our already to small house during her radiation treatments. She made it through surgery but still has a long road ahead of her. We will also be building a new house to accommodate the 5 of us. Just no time to get to anything extra curricular...
Hey Opie,
Have you gotten back to the thread injector yet?
Its been very overwhelming here over the last 9 months.
We have moved. Moved my wifes mother in with us. She has had major surgery to remove a sarcoma tumor only to have it return in her calf and abdomen. Chemo, 3 rounds of radiation all being done 1.5 hours away from our house, every day.
I barely have enough time to keep my day job. We have 2 houses we are trying to sell all while trying to maintain some sort of normalcy for the kids.
As grim as this sounds, I will not be getting back to the sewing machine until my MIL passes. Even then it may be awhile. We are basically just keeping her comfortable. This last round of radiation is just a stab in the dark. The Doctors at UofM have never seen this type of sarcoma develop in multiple locations after a tumor is removed. Nor have they ever seen tumors the size that are growing in her. The one they removed from her thigh was the size of a football and the one in her calf is approaching the same size.
So, thats where we are. Mods, please feel free to moderate this thread as you see fit.
Opie,
I'll keep you in my prayers. I've been through something similar and it's tough. Stay strong and I know everything will be ok.
Steve
Sorry to hear this Opie.
