    NJ>Stokes State Forest>9/20/14>Last Minute Hang

SilentOrpheus and I are going to walk in at Stokes tomorrow and grab a site (hopefully T216 at Steam Mill), if anyone wants to join.

We're gonna grab a site, then hike around the AT on Kitatinny Ridge before settling in.

I'm sleeping on the battleship in Camden tonight with the kids. I asked about hammocks. No va. Thought I might string one up between the big guns on deck anyway.

    No photo trip report:

There was meat, there was blood, under threat of repo there were some interlopers. Site worked out just fine, weather was about as perfect as you could hope for this time of year. A good time was had by all.

And the bushwhacking Bermuda-short-wearing interlopers are likely to have one of the most severe cases of poison ivy ever seen. I'll bet they're pretty itchy about now.

Be careful out there. No one had been killed by a black bear in New Jersey since 1852, according to a 2010 report on black bears by the New Jersey Fish and Game Council.

Proof that you don't have to outrun a bear, just your friends.
