    Sleeping in a body bag

Went camping this weekend with the Scout troop down to Dinosaur Valley State Park at Glen Rose, Texas. Had to dodge the tornados in Fort Worth but we made it without incident. We always get to set up camp in the dark, but I was able to find a good spot to hang my hammock.

The next day (Saturday) a Cub Scout pack set up next to our site and they spotted my tarp.
“Wow, cool! That’s one of those hammock tents!”
“It looks like a body bag.” (My hammock is black, speer style.)

I happened to be taking a nap, in the body bag, with it closed up across the top. I could hear them walking closer. I waited until they got really close and then stuck my hand out and popped out. You should have heard them skeedaddle! It was pretty funny

    That is just SICK!

    I LOVED IT

I think I would have fallen out of my hammock laughing so hard

I want a black "Body bag" hammock now.

That is just too funny, I think I'd like to have a "body bag" hammck as well, especially if I can get a BlackCat made. Wonder if Ed Speer has some black material to make a hammock with?

OMG! You're so right! Didn't see that and I read the thread at least twice. I hate being sleep deprived at home!

I wonder if you could make a hammock out of a body bag?

They're waterproof and NOT breathable. Not sure how comfortable it would be b/c of the size and shape, but I bet it would work.
