Down pillow from Hammock Gear. Soft, Warm, compresses to nearly nothing!

That's why I can't use my down pillow - it compresses to nothing.

I use a cheap inflatable instead. That way I can get just the right amount of support I need. I started off with one that goes around the neck but it wasn't comfortable for sleeping. I switched to a rectangular pillow and love it. I can let some air out, fold it in half, and prop my head up higher for reading, too.

    Montbell inflatable in my Bridge.

2" thick (~8x10") open cell foam in my gathered end. in a microfleece (More like velvet feel) cover from an old heating pad. I don't need much pillow in a gathered end hammock.

I use a Cocoon Ultralight AirCore. It is super lightweight and takes up almost no room in my pack and because its inflatable I can easily adjust the thickness as needed.

I usually just roll up a clean shirt when camping. If at home, just a bed pillow. I will probably buy a camping pillow at some point.

Nemo Fillo here, been with me all the way to war and back. I love that pillow! inch thick memory foam pad with an adjustable air pillow underneath. It's just the right pillow every time.

As for my wife, she uses a bunch of scrap strips of climashield in a diy 1.1oz pillow case. Kinda like squishy snakes that she can jam and smash just how ever she wants it.

I use a cheap Koppen camp pillow. Packs down "OK" as it's small but it still has enough loft to support my noggin in a hammock. I have found that I don't need much loft out of a pillow when it's used in a hammock. My Koppen pillow would be useless for anything else. Ideally an inflatable pillow would definitely be better.
