    DIY: Monster quilt!

So after finally getting all moved in and settled I've been able to finished a project I started almost a year ago. let me introduce to my Monster quilt!

Two layers of 5oz Climashield Apex wrapped in brown Argon 67 with dual differential cuts a for both the insulation and shell layers. All that warmth is supported by dual suspension and also has four perimeter loops to help keep the quilt lifted snug when the shock cord gets cold.

My quilt measures 44"x70" and weighs 36oz. I would say this quilt would be rated 10 degrees if not a little lower. now on to the pictures

Nice job. I bet you can save a ton of dough making your own equipment. I wish I had some sewing skills. My home ec skills in general are pretty lacking.

The stuff sack is a size small sea to summit compression sack I had laying around. Normally I don't use stuff sacks I just cram my quilts to the bottom of my pack, but it's hard to get a weight with out one.

Climashield came from Thru Hiker. I really this material because its easy to work with, packs well and insulates even when wet. (I had a really long cold night when some fog came off a lake and dampened all of our down quilts)
