===> Great hunt! And great narrative, too! Reminded me of many hunts back in the day when I hunted a lot. Good memories! Thanks for the trip report!

Saw the link on the spring turkey thread, purty country hand! Definitely want too go one day!
What kind of insulation did you use if you don't mind me asking? I'm building up gear for an archery Utah hunt this August.
Would love to do something like that with my dad. Hes 54, and can still whip me on hills as well. Great trip report, Im envious.
That was a very good read! The pictures really make you realize how nice it was out there.
Glad to see you bagged one, I sure that made the trip all the more memorable.
For your UQ what do you think the lowest temp for it would be? I've been trying to figure out how much down for what temp, I'm sure there's a chart somewhere just haven't seen it.

Nice report!! I went bow hunting in Wyoming in 2010, prior to learning of hammocks. I have been in the process of testing all my gear to be prepared for the next time i get to go. I put in for the drawing for 2015, but i did not get drawn. Oh well, more time to test. I will definitely be hanging when i go in 2016. Congrats on harvesting the elk. Looks like your dad took a tent. Any chance he's gonna come over to hammocks now?
Whoooooo Buddy)))) Real good trip briefing.
Ain't it fine waking up to see the woods from your hammock and tarp?

I'm working on it! I'm gearing up for a second set of quilts, tarps, etc. (for my wife, and as loaners) so I'm going to try and see if he's up for it.
Nothing better! I've got a couple trips up the Minnesota/North Shore way planned this summer, maybe I'll see ya on the trail
Did a search and found this thread, I am new to hammocks but I've been bowhunting for years. I am going to use mine for the first time in late September and again in October in deer camp. I am planning an elk trip for 2018 and hope to be squared away enough with my gear to use it for spike camp. Looks like a great trip and I appreciate your taking the time to share the pictures and the story.
