Any hints on what the do-hicky is and what it is going to do?

    Hi
The yeti mentioned above is an under quilt, mine has little snaps on it and I believe there is to be a weather shield or something in the works.
    cheers

Pretty sure they're talking about a snap-in reflective liner for the Yetis. Goes between you and the Yeti and reflects heat back at you; like a space blanket...sort of.

I, too, am anxiously awaiting the dawning of the doohicky.

I think Gunn is right. Pretty soon Brandon will have to open up a sweat shop in his garage to keep up with the orders . Hiring? I could stand to live in Colorado. It's hard being a backpacker in Chicago! Closest place to go is O'Hare Airport.

yes, just a snap on space blanket, then snap on part keeps it from bunching shifting ect, all the things that make using a space blanket a PITA. will be made of fully reflective ripstop, looks just as reflective as a sb. also is a vapor barrier so hopefully will be a nice little temp boost for those times you're pushing quilts max range or to help cold natured sleepers stay toasty.
