Not going to make this one either. Hate to bail, I really enjoy the company on the trail.
Dave, Sorry to hear about Scoopy! I can imagine what you're going through.
Glad to see that Skunkape is still out there and hanging.

Looks like we will have lows in the mid-50's for Friday and Saturday. Bring your rain gear! Looks like we may be getting wet on the hike out Sunday morning. 100% chance of rain for Sunday! Oh and Sundays low is in the 40's. Looks like we're gonna miss the good cold weather by a day again.

Sorry to hear that some aren't going to make it. It sounds like a good weekend to be in the woods.
Dave, sorry to hear about Scooby being missing.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
With great sadness, I must skip this hang. My daughter is improving but still needs me now.
I can't believe I'm going to miss Grinder's birthday, have a good one buddy! I hope Scooby smells the campfire and comes wandering over!
I surely miss being with you folks because you all are near & dear to my heart! Have an extra bacon wrapped date for me and I will see you on the next hang!

I forgot to mention that Lake Godwin road is in very bad condition. If you are planning on putting in from there then you might want to be in a truck... I know I wouldn't dream of taking my car down the road at the moment.
Thanks for the kind words... probably within 2 minutes of Scooby wandering off there was close to a 0% chance of me finding her. She's deaf, old, and had been acting strange for the previous week (so her mind is/was going). Plus, if she went out and found a spot to rest off of a road or trail (the most likely spot) then she could be 5 feet away and you probably wouldn't know it (and she probably would never know you were there)... and she had 14,000 acres to find a spot to rest. I had to go look for her just to hope for luck and random chance, I would never forgive myself if I didn't, I never really had much hope.
She was the sweetest dog, my best friend, constant companion, (perfect) hiking buddy, and I am blessed to have had almost 13 years that I could call her "friend". She is deeply missed, I'm heartbroken, and it will take a very long time to recover.

I was hoping and still am hoping you find her. Sorry to hear that it wasn't simple to find her. A lot of ground to cover for sure. Hoping she wanders back home though remote I guess. I think I got to meet her once last year.
I'll be leaving the house Sat. morning before 7am. Want to get to parking def before 9. Think I know how to get to lakeside. See y'all there. Sorry to hear oboy and madd ain't gonna make it. Oboy get yourself healed and Mike good luck helping your daughter heal too!
