Yes, but that's not a dog.

This is a dog: (said in crocodile dundee's accent)

You can't fit this in a hammock.

    To the OP:

This sounds like SUCH a familiar story, except with my dog it's not grass, it's cow poop. Yeah.... pre-digested grass, and it gives her gas. Thank goodness we don't sleep in a tent anymore.

She's also afraid of everything, so when she wakes up from a chipmunk chirping in a tree 300 yards away she likes to stand up under me and poke me in the butt with her nose repeatedly. Just to make sure I'm there. Or maybe she's reassuring me that she's there... either way I don't end up with much sleep. Hoping the winter palace will fix that, she always slept fine in the tent.

That's probably a good idea. I've found that the more kids you have in tow, the more they entertain themselves. I know what I'm talking about here; I have 6 kids and still gather a few nieces & nephews when I go on vacation, to insure my peace!

Too funny! We have a small dog that just turned 1 year old. I am taking him in 2 weeks for his first hammock experience just to see how he does. He will be sleeping in the hammock with me so I plan on a day trip to start and test the waters. He has his own tarp for a shaded area and he listens well, I am just worried he will be up all night, I'm thinking 1 of his toys for comfort may help him sleep, we will see. I'll try to post up a report with pics in the next few weeks.
