    New River Grosgain Loops?

Silly question...I know they "... can be used to help hold up the quilt." But are they designed to attach in any particular way or with any particular gear?

Not that I've needed them in my backyard test, everything stays in place just fine so far, but I'm just curious.

I believe they are there for head and foot end tie outs. You string the lines through the loops and the underquilt will stay snug to the side of the hammock.

I've used them with both AHE "Triangle Thingies" at the knee loop, and with the Dutch "Ridgeline Quilt Hooks". Both work well for going up and over the ridgeline...especially on the WBBB. Otherwise you can string the line from end to end like scoffman mentioned, but you won't get nearly as much lift out of it in my experience.

I run a section of shock cord with a small biner on one end and a cord lock on the other end over the tarp ridge line to lift and hold the UQ in place. Works great on those cold nights in the piney woods.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!
