    P U Coating vs glue

Is there any kind of glue that will stick fabric with PU coating together?

I have tried everything, silicon, super glue, several fabric glues, nothing will work.

Not really. You could try a PU seam sealer, but I wouldn't put any money on it holding.

And if you're looking for mid-to-high tensile strength applications (such as a tarp), you'll definitely want to sew rather than glue, even with most other fabrics aside from PU-coated. The only place that I'm aware of that adhesives shine over sewing is in Cuben-to-Cuben bonds, due to the finickiness of the material.

    Hope it helps!

McNett's Seam Grip (and its close relative Aquaseal) sticks well to PU coated nylon and lasts a long time when used as a seam sealer. I have not tried to glue fabric with it however.

McNett Seam Grip is what I've used in the past and it holds well as slugbait mentioned.

Thanks for the reply, I will try it, I want to put a couple of pieces of material across the ridge of my tarp to hold the ridge cord in place with out any stitch holes.

I just put some seam tape under the panel pulls of a pu-coated tarp today and "glued"/sealed around the edges with the Coleman Seam Sealer that I got years ago from Walmart. Worked great.

Seam tape does stick well to PU, I just need a couple of small patches that my tarp ridge cord can run through in the middle to keep it in place while folding and unfolding, not something which will be pulled on with any force.
