Ok guys! I said that I would put together a so-cal hang, and am doing it!
So any ideas of locations? Im thinking maybe san Gorgonio, or san Jacinto. Maybe golden trout? Suggestions are very welcome! Also dates? When do you want to go?

I'm not familiar to so-cal but I can try to swing it depending on the details
Those who expect disappointment are never disappointed.
I wouldn't consider golden trout so-cal, but I may be able to attend.

true about Golden trout... but i do believe that Kern county is considered So-cal, and im not sure were it is really. I think san Gorgonio could be fun... we wouldnt necessarily need to get the peak, but if you guys are up to it, it would be fun. Also... dates? Do we wanna do a fall hang, or do we want snow? Or no snow? I NEED TO KNOW!!!
I haven't been snow camping in a couple of years, would be fun to do it with the hammock.

I would be down for a little bit of san gorgonio goodness over winter break...
I have spent many days and nights in the San Jacinto mountains, and the Sierras too. I love Southern California. Lived out there for six or seven years right after the service, and I know I will always miss it. I found that most people that grew up out there didn't appreciate it half as much as I did, coming from Indiana. Mule
Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.
I'll going to San G next month. I will be gonig up Fish Creek trail. Best place to find water.

mule, my dad came from indiana, and he defiantly appreciates it! haha... trigger, if how are trees up there?? Good enough for a hang?
Well there are plenty of trees. Some you can measure in inches others in yards.
