Ive been hammock camping for about a year now. Just this past month ive gotten into the diy stuff. I started with snake skins and moved on to making my own backpack (almost done). I began making my own gear when I decided to go ultralight (15-20lbs base weight). Wish I had found this forum last year when I started. Woulda saved me some cold nights, broken webbing (curses to Wal-Mart webbing), and bruised bum due to said webbing.
