I hung overnight using my GTUL and a peapod and it worked great. I have two GTUL and thought about doubling them up and inserting a pad for additional insulation when it gets really cold.

it is my first hammock I think i like it better than Eno but I have given it to my daughter to use when we hang together. I did replace the S hooks with climbing biners and use regular climbing webbing.

Not a member of Amazon Prime but noticed that REI Outlet has them on sale for $28.93 - normally $59.99. That's about half off.
I just bought a GT UL yesterday.
To clarify, the one on REI Outlet has some weird Frankenstein description. It's not the GT UL. It seems to mix the facts and pictures about a GT UL and a GT Single. I have no idea what it actually is . . .
The picture is a GT Single
The material is a GT Single
The price is a Skeeter Beeter?!?! (Maybe GT changed their pricing since this was updated?)
The mass is a GT UL.
The length and width are GT UL.
Maybe this is the old version?? But why is the price point so high?
Rei have some strange pricing.
I was in the store the other day and saw 1 GT hammock left on a rack. No description, no price tag. Nothing but the hammock in its stuff sack.
I go to the check out with it and she says... $8.93 !!
SOLD ! i asked if she had anymore in stock, but no, just online at the outlet.
WHen i got home i looked it up and it looks like she charged me for the Rope hanging kit by mistake.
I took off the heavy duty carabiners and added 2 Neutrino ones.
weight with new biners and hammock 9.5 oz.
Already looking to add mosquito net for a super light summer hammock.
Just saw that campmor has the GT UL single for $20

I bought a GT UL for me to use on day hikes; ended up buying three more for my wife and two daughters. I added this to my kit. Very light. I WOULD NOT recommend this for long-term hangs, but for short hangs, it should be fine. Rope can cut in to a tree's outer layer, but it should be OK on a day hike. Take a carabiner or clip and link the UL and the tree strap bag together. It's a deal for $10.

I had to install a ridgline to get rid of the calf ridge but love mine.
Hows much ridgeline did you end up with? I'm 6 ft tall and 200lbs, would that effect the length of ridgeline I would need?
