The Views from Alander Mountain are amazing in the winter.

Last winter I hung at the campground and we got down to somewhere in the -5* area.
It's funny that you brought that up. I just came back from there today where my scouts and some adults just finished there after a two day 18 mile hike starting at MT. Everett. I was so ready to go home that I didn't even bother to climb the last 50 feet to see the top of Mt. Alander. I was vista out from all the other ones we did this weekend.

I am thinking about bringing backcountry skis. Hoping there is a trail around the pond ?

Had I known you were going to be up there I would have sent you my .gpx file for the trails I have done. There is only 3 sections I need to finish.

There trail maps are good but a GPS is way better when you need to know where you are and where you are going. LOL
