Greetings Folks,
I'll be on the Long Trail (South Bound) between Rt.89(Duxbury Rd) and Rt. 4 the first full week of October(4th-11th).
Any other fellow hangers going to be in that neck of the woods then?
Cheers!

No but I just did a NOBO thru in July. You picked a great time of year to do it. Enjoy the crisp nights.

I wish that I could. I just got back from a week hike in the northern section of the trail last week. I hope you do not have as wet of a week that I had. Even with the rain the trail was AWESOME! Don't forget to try some of the local craft beers. There are some awesome ones up there.
I have family that lives just down the hill from the Inn at Long Trail, basically across the street from Pico Ski Resort. I vacation almost exclusively there, so I'm very familiar with most all the local craft breweries....and the weather. In fact, I will cut off the Long Trail just before the Rt.4 crossing onto the Catamount Trail and complete my hike right to their house.
I'm hoping that my 7 days on the trail will be timed just right with the foliage change, should make for some great photos from 22 peaks I'll be cresting...weather permitting.

New to the forum (and hanging) but not new to that section of trail..... I do it almost every year and you will enjoy it so much! Hanging is easy on the LT.........it's a shame it took me so long to get into it. Have fun and take lots of deep breaths.....there is top tier oxygen up there
Best trail out there, and VT air is second to none! The breweries are world class as well!
