Hedcase, I think that I have 4. I will check tomorrow. I will throw them in the back of Mac's truck. I hope everything works out where you can stay the extra day.
No worries on the critters.....My son and i just put a groundcloth down and sleep on top of it. We TRY to find snakes and scorpions and have very little luck.
The wind can kick up so we create a windblock with one of our hammock tarps. Here is a henessy hex.

If you think you might get sprinkled on you just use the tarp for cover.

Oh yea, shade can be nice. I used my mad sewing skills to make a lounging area off the back of my truck. Even in March the sun can get hot out there....

I wish I could, but as I said earlier in the thread I'm heading out there for my son's spring break a couple of weeks after y'all.
I just reserved the campsites a couple of days ago. I was surprised that the ones I wanted were already taken.....
We'll be over in Big Bend Ranch State Park and it's usually empty even during spring break. People are starting to figure out how cool it is.
Y'all are gonna love the place no matter what you do!

well I'm thinking that my kayaking adventures might have been washed away because on 18 feb they got all kinds of water and it's still rising! I got a 17' sea kayak and what's called for right now is a white water boat, oh well.
