Just got back from a week long tour of some western NC parks. My WL gear's real first outing and it was a whole lot of fun. Just wanted to share some pics from the trip. Big thanks to Marty, Dutch and Keith for the awesome gear!

Boy, what a rough week having to suffer through that scenery. I really feel for you.

Great pictures!
Where exactly were you?
He is your friend, your companion, your defender... he is your dog. You are his life, his leader, and master. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of that devotion.
I had to tweak a few things like the new dutchware adjustable ridge line (which was used for the first time on this trip.) but was the best nights I've spent in the woods ever! I had brought a small carbon tripod for some long exposure shots. Was going to try for some night sky photos but it was way too cloudy the entier time but worked great for the water shots...Emma (the pup) is my best friend and she loves camping...she had a blast! It's not my office view but it'll do for a bit... We started off at Grandfather mountain...profile trail to high Balsam shelter...then to linville gorge to recreate some of the Hickory bros. hikes...then to Pisgah forest in Brevard NC around Looking Glass Mountain. (some of the NC folks will know the shots from John Rock of Looking glass) It was a great break from work with great friends and good weather. Can't wait to do a group hang with some of the HF folks now!

Beautiful... I saw the pic from John rock and thought it looked familiar.
Did you camp on Grandfather Mtn? I have yet to do that, on my list.
Thanks for sharing
Yes, The first four pics are from Grandfather...some overlooks and High Balsam shelter. (though I had to sleep in the hammock bc it's better than a hard wood floor!)
Great pics
