I have wondered why not use 2 flyz? Anyone? Maybe I'm too thick, but what is the reason for 1 hook and 1 flyz?

i'm a 2 flyz guy.
I use two flyz. Got them in the beta test phase. I noticed I need more line to use both flyz vs one flyz and hook would use.
Ok, so here some crude pics from my Ipod. I have a non-continious ridgeline, just like my OES MacCat Deluxe came with. Instead of tying each line around each tree, i just hook one side, walk to the other tree and attach the hook. To adjust, just hold on the ridgeline and pull on the prussik.
Dutch suggested i use 2.2 for the ridgeline and some short pieces of lash it for the prussiks. He just happened to have some 2.2 laying around and sent it along with the dutch hooks.
Now, i was not sure how many wraps i needed, so one prussik is 3 wraps and the other is 5 wraps. The 3 holds but the 5 obviously holds better.
I have updated this setup since these pics were taken. I added some heat shrink tubing around the knots and on the tail end of the ridgeline (i can not and will not try to splice).
It was dark when we got to cam every night this weekend, but i can try to get more pics tomorrow is more are needed.
Any questions, just let me know!!!

Nice...Thanks for the pics...Smitty have you thought about a continous line?

smitty, that is exactly how i rig my tarp too.
makes it real easy to adjust,,, functions basically the same as hanging a hammock with webbing and buckles.
i like those hooks, are they newly styled?

DOWNTOWN BROWN!!!!
That's exactly how I hang my tarp. I have a continuous ridgeline of 1.75mm Zing-it. On one end is a bowline knot holding the 1st Dutch hook. NEAR the other end is a prussik with the 2nd Dutch hook in the prussik loop.
I put the simple end around the 1st tree and then adjust the prussik as I wrap the other end around the 2nd tree. I adjust the prussik such that I have to give it a good tug to get it to hook onto the ridgeline.
My tarp is attached to the ridgeline with two other prussiks, making it non-removable, but not requiring any other hardware.
I really like this setup!

I just got a PM from The Dutch, apparently somehow he sent me the wrong ones. These are aluminum, not titanium like the ones on his site. He said that they may not hold up during a heavy wind.
He realized the mistake when he saw the pics and offered to send me the correct ones free of charge!!

I have a continuous ridge line with prussiks on my Superfly and i find that the ridgeline keeps me from getting the sides taught, tought, tight....... I can't get the tarp set up correctly.
In my very unprofessional opinion, non-continuous lets a Sil tarp with a cat cut work with the cat cut and not against it.
I guess what i am trying to say is with a non-continious ridge, the tarp can move where it needs to to tighten and not get stopped by a ridgeline under the tarp.

Smitty,
I run a continuous rig line with my HH hex tarp. I put the ridge line above the tarp sometimes and sometimes under it. I find if I use the line over the tarp I must tighten the corners before tightening the top and by so doing get a real nice taut hang. If I put the line under the tarp I can get a much crisper line and can get the tarp good and snug but I must have my tarp line very tight. I will be using the line under the tarp in the snow this winter, if I get the chance.
I find both work but they take a different approach.
