I think the Kick *** Quilts were made specifically for the Asym Hennessy's...
"Civilization is the limitless multiplication of unnecessary necessities." - Mark Twain
“I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order.” - John Burroughs
That's correct. Of course the KAQ could be used with other hammocks, but their asym design is made to match the HH.

“I think that when the lies are all told and forgot the truth will be there yet. It dont move about from place to place and it dont change from time to time. You cant corrupt it any more than you can salt salt.” - Cormac McCarthy
Great, I'll read that next, I was thinking that a quilt with a slit for entry might be cool, what do you guys think?

Are you asking about the suspension part?
I made a simple rectangular underquilt for my HH.
On each short end I sewed a tube that has a cord inside with 2 cordlocks to gather each end (create bathtub shape). I have webbing tabs on each corner with shock cord, their ends are tied together at each end of the hammock and I hook that knot onto the prussic knot on the suspension rope (I don't use it for the tarp).
I also have tabs above each asym side tieout with small shock cord loops that attach to the HH side tieouts.
To get in the slit I just push it to one side, it springs back in place after I get in.
gunn,
I made a UQ more or less based on ones on this site, and ThruHiker, with tie outs and other things already mentioned above. But, I made the outside 'sack/cover' with a zipper, so I could open it, and change the internal insulation material, depending on the season. Right now, I have polyester, but later plan to make a good down insulation core system. It was my first, and largest sewing project, if you don't get what you want the first time, it's not much expense, try another one. (except for the down stuffing, of course $$$$) Internal insulation: I used a shear curtain panel (which also makes great bug netting; $4.50) from *mart to loosly hold the polyester batting, sewn onto a piece of NeatSheat (left over hospital surgery disposable insulating paper blanket) Outside cover: thinnest RS nylon fabric. Cost of the whole project, less than $15. It's about 2 1/2" thick, and weighs less than 10 oz. Hopefully, you have a source of affordable fabric ! (Hammock type: HH/SS)
I think that is an excellent idea. I have a JRB Nest (velcros to the Hennessy slit) and an original KAQ that Patrick made for me. With the Nest I don't experience cold drafts under my butt 'cause the velcro holds it in place. I plan to modify my KAQ with velcro.
The "new wave" in hammock quilts is the half or 3/4 UQ. My next project is to shorten my Nest to 60". This will enable the lower half of the Hennessy velcro to mate to itself and the other half to mate to the Nest. I think something simalar would work well for the KAQ. If you are making it yourself it should be easy.
Going on 5 years now the JRB Nest has been the UQ of choice for HH.... With the No Sniveller a closde second.... Those who were at TD got to see the new JRB Winter Nest..... 3 inch Baffles.... Standard 15 % over stuff to 3.5-almost 4 inches of loft.... That is 50 percent more warmth....hmmmm 0-10*.....Watch for it on the site soon...BTW there are several early production models currently available....
