Occasionally I find a woman strange enough to enjoy my company. The good ones are backpackers. Unfortunately a hammock really isn't that great for couples camping.

There are times when going back to a tent is certainly justified.

A Hammock may be problematic but a pair of Hammocks is a very fine way for the two of you to experience camping together. Highly recommend.Unfortunately a hammock really isn't that great for couples camping.

My wife and I nearly always hang side by side, many times from the same two trees if there is not a trio to set up the honey moon suite.
Dancer and I hang together all the time. When the weather's nice, we'll set up under the same tarp.

I enjoy my wife's company at home but really don't want her hanging around me in the woods.
Not stereotyping here....just say'in,
i'm a backpacker and she holds me up so on our last trip i picked up the pace.
It worked as she's now re-acclimated herself back to the kitchen as her gear gathers dust.
Yikes My marriage would be history if my wife thought I posted that. We hang together frequently, including many nights at home. We try to find three tree scenarios with one tarp. When paddling or hiking, I simply adjust to having her along, it is different, but it is fun. She can still paddle or hike circles around a lot of my men friends though. What she lacks in strength or speed she makes up for in spirit. It is fun to talk at night, read books, etc. We keep the waterbed for those nights we sleep in and extracurricular activities. Spending time together outdoors is one of those things that keeps our marriage strong and healthy. It is important to have fun together.
There really is nothing quite like a warm waterbed on a cold winter night. Especially skin to skin. Warms the soul!!

Have had a wonderful 24yrs of marriage and have a trailer for family camping.
I prefer to backpack solo and tend to cover a lot of ground up to a week at a time and find it less stressful when i just have myself to worry about and can map my routes according to my ability.
She'll get a hug and kiss when i get home.
