I have been working like a fool lately. 8 hours at my job, 2 for the landlords, then 3 or 4 more at home. I am happy to be su busy and work is great, but I need to get out!!!
Anyone interested in a Trinity Alps trip in May? The Alps are open !

I know, work, who needs it yuk! Hey a bunch of folks are planning a group hang at Boggs Mt. May 10-12. It's just south of Clear Lake. Check it out, it's under forums, trips, west. I would love to hang in the Trinity Alps (never been there) but I'll have to keep an eye on my schedule. Now get back to work!
Depending on the dates, I'm in. I love the place.
Let me know when you are going so I can check my schedule.
I am in, I am located in Humboldt county and have done 3 trips in the last month, South fork of the Trinity River last weekend with my son for his first hang, we lucked out on weather and had a great time. I would love to meet some fellow NorCal Hangers.
I used to go every year to Trinity but didn't last year. Not sure why. But I miss it. Depending on the dates I'd be up for it. May is usually pretty early for the Alps as snow melt and downed trees can be an issue. Where are you thinking of going? I liked the Coffee Creek area out to Union lake.

The Alps opened last week and we could find a little snow but probably more of an issue could be creek crossings. Let me do a little more looking I to and I will post again.
I was up near Swift Creek TH towards the end of February and was able to drive within 3.5 miles of the actual trail. I hiked up on snow pack the rest of the way for a few nights. It has been a fairly mild winter as far as actual snow accumulation. I wasn't planning any trips for the next few weeks, but if plans change and I can get up there for a recon overnighter, I will update.
