I want to thank anyone and everyone here in the forums for the incredible amount of information on hammocking. I've been researching here for about a year, slowly saving $ and poking around on posts gathering ends to begin hammocking (hahaha). Between my vacation in the Ozarks, MO and a weekend or two ago in Devils Lake, WI my first hangs were nothing shy of amazing! For a whole week in Missouri I slept outside in my WBBB under the stars, in the rain, you name it. My friends and family thought I was insane being there was a perfectly good (air conditioned) home right there. I started in the yard the first night, then migrated down just above the shore the second night and finally hung over the water on the dock the rest of the trip (had to build up my confidence lol). Devils Lake, WI was my first real test as we got hit by a really severe T-storm Saturday afternoon, but the WBBB with a Superfly tarp and Hammock Gear 0* incubator had me lounging like a king while the ground dwellers sat in disarray. As dismal as that night may have been, and it dropped down to the mid 40's, i was snug as a bug (or a shug). But once again I would like to thank all of you and your time/efforts that have been put forth. I never thought my love of backpacking, camping and the outdoors would evolve and take a turn like this! I hope to meet as many of you as possible in the future and may your hangs be true! Cheers,
Habitat
