Modifications to a pre-existing UQ suspension?

So I have been toying with the idea of changing out my UQ suspension and trying other ways of hanging it. As of now I have one cord lock on one side at the foot end, and one cord lock on the other side at the head end. I was thinking of maybe making two shock cord lines per end with two cord locks per end for maximum adjustment.

I am thinking of doing what Shug showed in one of his many videos where he cinches up one side of his UQ suspension to wrap more tightly around his foot.

My ultimate goal is to solve the bit of trouble I've been having keeping the right side, foot end, shock cord above my feet so the UQ can remain hung properly. It tends to want to slide under beyond my toes and to my heel.

    Any suggestions to that?

For what its worth I am considering doing this to a Te-Wa Breeze.

I made a mod similar to Leigh-Lo's. One cord suspends the quilt end to end through the channel, the other pulls it up and out from the neck. Keeps the quilt from sliding back and forth and allows it to stay up on the foot end to keep my feet warm. Simple to adjust.

Are you utilizing Triangle Thingies? Do you have a picture zoomed out by any chance? I am having a hard time seeing what is going to where here.

Is it the shock cord going to a central point on the ridge line and the carabiners are attached to the UQ grosgrain loops?

Or the opposite, with the shock cord being attached to the UQ and you are utilizing Triangle Thingies?

    thanks for the reply!
