My home sleeper is built to the measurements of the ENO doublenest. It makes a very fine single hammock and is, I think it fair to say, more popular here than the singlenest.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

The Doublenest works great for one person. Very roomy and comfortable. You definitely want to sleep on the diagonal and find the angle that works best for you. And be sure to include enough sag in your hang.
The single nest is fine ... but the double nest really excells by providing more room for you to find that diagonal sweet spot.

I have both ENOs. Love the double love the extra room ...

I use doubles for single use. I love the extra room.
Here's my situation: I want to try to compare prices of a high quality eno hammock where i can sleep on the diagonal + mosquito netting (not theirs DIY attachment) + a tarp with a HH expedition asym. I would like to keep the prices around $130.
I would really like to use a sowing machine to attach netting to the eno hammock and then get a cheap but light tarp to cover it.
I do not have a sowing machine. How could i do this? and is it worth it?

I think the only way you could do it for that price is if you had a sewing machine.
Maybe hit up the pawn shops and pick up a simple machine on the cheap.
If you scrounge up all the materials, you could probably stay under your price cap.
I picked up an Etowah tarp, 10x12 for IIRC $50. http://www.bigrockoutfitters.com/ind...oducts_id=8747
I did just acquire a silnylon tarp as well, the price was right.
