One of our party inadvertently removed an artifact from the desert in Big Bend. It is a 30-06 Springfield rifle cartridge. Cartridges with this headstamp were made between 1930 and 1939. A spider had made it his home.
In the same area, we found some strange items that we determined are early versions of Dutch clips. We left them in place.
