I love sleeping in a hammock and my aging back loves it as well so I want to design
a hammock without regards to weight ect.
I have made a number of gathered end hammocks using ripstop each getting better with the help of this fantastic fourm and my improving sewing skills.

The design has to hang on a Vario Stand other than that I'm just looking for
something I can wash on a regular basis and has a flat lie.

Fabric would be my first concern as ripstop is great for our camping, it's not
so good for easy repeated washings.

The hammocks I've made so far have been the standard 60" wide double layer 9'-10'long.
The last one I enclosed the last 20" or so of the top with a triangle of fabric<--
so far it's been my favorite.

I'm curious if adding the side panels and or footbox would add anything.

Slowhike I think, was adding a spreader bar to a gathered end hammock and
that it seems may get rid of any possible shoulder squeeze and open it up.

I'm fishing for Ideas guys / gals......any ideas?
