I have hung indoors for years. Mostly out in my storage building/Shop while working on the honey do list. In the shop I just ran a large eye bolt into a stud and hooked up the hammock. Indoors however my wife required it to look a little nicer.
In the photo you can see I used a large eye bolt and a wooden caster cup ( those items you put under a caster rollers on hard wood. I simply use a studfinder to locate the center of the stud, predrilled a whole in the caster cup and wall, then screwed it in until it bottomed out.

The wooden cup does two things for the mount, the first, it dresses it up a little. secondly, by screwing in the bolt until it is tight, it helps support the sheet rock a little.

This one went in my sons room, he has slept in it every night since it went up. He needs to send Thing1 a thank you note. as it was her story that got mom to let her guard down enough to let me proceed.

I have enjoyed hanging out and helping with homework a little more as well.

This is my first post with a photo, hope it works if not the image is in my gallery.
