Absolute newbie here..still waiting on my first hammock (a BlackBird of course!)

Recently Ive been trying out a sail on my yak...I actually had it for a while (came with my second-hand boat) but I never used it as I thought it would be a hassle..too hard to manage and would make the boat unstable.

After trying it out I realised that neither of these things are an issue.
Firstly, the sail is under tension from a shock cord at the front so to get it up you just loosen the sheets and the sail pops up of its own accord.

And the yak is completely stable to ..not sure exactly why but probably something to do with the pivot position at the front...is doesnt seem to have alot of leverage to affect boat stability.

Anywayz, just mention it as something to consider. It is can be very nice cruising in a kayak under sailpower enjoying the scenery!
