Yep para cord will stretch
Paracord is okay for whipping the ends, maybe okay for a ridgeline,, but you don't want to use it for suspension.

Paracord is like climbing rope-its designed to stretch under tension, to avoid breaking. Its a shock absorbing cord. A few people here have not heeded the advice of the wise ones, and attempted making a hammock with paracord, and it didnt work, due to the inherent stretching properties. So, stick with Zing it
When you say "Use Zing-It" what do you mean? For suspension? Ridgeline? or to make a net hammock from?
Either way, Zing-it is too weak to reliably use as suspension (unless you're a real lightweight). Like others have said: paracord stretches. It's ok as whipping or ridegeline (not a lot of tension on a ridgeline). But using it for hammock suspension could cause it to drop you, or stretch overnight...

so i am searching thru the diy section so forgive me if its already out there but i want to do a gathered end...... kinda like a eno, and i may add a bug net like the HH. so what materials do i need?
yeah i got the plan down but i need to know where to get the materials.... the ripstop and the zing it. and is there a tutorial out there for a tarp?
