Came up to Seattle to visit my son and we went out to the Olympic National Park area.

First night we went to Second Beach at La Push. Beautiful spot if you haven't been are in the area check it out. I did find a place to hang, it took a bit to get it right, but was well worth it. Check the pics, I did change tarp so it didn't rub on the tree limb.

The on shore breeze was really strong but during set up but wasn't really to bad a problem. This was my first time with my new Maccat Deluxe beside in the back yard, and it was great. Tied all my tarp guy lines to rocks.

I didn't have a thermometer, but I'm sure it got down into the 40's. Used my ridge rest pad, and a 20* North Face Bighorn bag as a over quilt. I sleep au naturel and was fine.

Next night we went to a campground, Shadow Mountain, out side Port Angeles. They let me hang and had a nice seperate area for tents away from the RV's. Several sites are better for hanging, and have the best views, but seem to be the older least used site, but that was fine for us.

Again temps to the mid 40's sleep very well. Brought our GT hammock we keep in the yard, and my son used it for the two nights there. I believe he maybe converted....
