    Thumbs up hello from a scoutmaster in KY

    Been lurking on here off and on for a while. seeing if the whole hanging thing would be a good ( and economical ) Thing for my boys to do as an alternative to tents. The whole "Leave no Trace" approach is an added bonus.
    I can see where homemade gear could be a great alternative to store bought , as modifying to size specs. My 13 year old son is 6'4" so I'm constantly spending for adult or larger sized equipment and gear .
    Thanks a lpt for all the info on this site. I'm looking forward to a winter camp-out in a hammock with UQ and TQ.
