Sorry to bail. Sounds like good times. I've got work biting me. Maybe next year when I have more gear.

I might show up if I can convince a friend to come along too. Any words of advice for attendees? Things to expect, what to pack, etc?
Will anybody be taking photos or blogging about this?
Yes! People take tons of pics and write trip reports that we all look forward too! There will be a flurry of activity in this thread when they get back. But another will be created in the Trip report Forum after the hang. Try & go you'll have a blast & make new friends!

My third time to the hang; and yet again a wonderful trip! My thanks to Smokehouse and the whole gang for putting together this great event every year.
My photos are limited this year as I was restricted to camp (your choice as to why: (a) probation/incarceration, (b) major political figure required to make a campaign stop, or (c) injury due to a not-so-smart-move ).
But, the photos that were taken can be seen here...
I'll also post this to the Trip Report forum once an entry is started there.

The road goes ever on and on Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can, Pursuing it with weary feet, Until it joins some larger way, Where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say.

I really wish I would have been able to make it but work got in the way. Hope everyone had a good time
It was my first time at this hang, but it won't be my last. I had a blast. A big thanks to Smokehouse for putting together a great hang, the fiery furnace Thursday, and for taking charge when the three armed rangers showed up to poop on our parade. It was great to meet some new hangers and see my old TX/OK friends. Already looking forward to next year, with a permit of course.
Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it, just pee on it and walk away.

So it didn't rain? We ended up canceling the event that caused me to cancel showing up to this. Now it's getting warm out, sucks.
It rained some on thursday and then again sunday but over all was nice out. There is a thread in the reports that has pictures and such.
Are you all planning another hang this year? I was lurking this thread last year but had a conflict. Sounds like a great trip.
