ofuros! Chills I tell ya running down my spine! OMG! One bite could kill a 1000 men!
But agreed they are absolutely beautiful and I'd love to photograph them WITH A TELEPHOTO BEHIND GLASS! (and with antivenom kit near by).

Haha.....scaredy cat !
meow! with tail betwixt the leggins.
on the serious side of snake bite, we treat 2-4 every fall....everyone lives, and 1-2 are dry bites anyway. Like most animals, give 'em some space.
Nice one ofuros,
definitely some snakes around at the mo, with some fatter than others!!
I haven't been hanging since before christmas, my plans keep getting waylaid plus its so hot, almost 35° here today and the humidity is a killer. I could barely carry or drink enough water on my last day walk up in the Nightcap, was just pouring out of me...
Sitting (oops, hanging) down by the creek looks like a good way to deal with that though, its a tough life but someone's gotta do it
Great trip & pix! I'm afraid a trip to Australia for me would turn into an indefinite walkabout... wouldn't want to stop.
Thanks phan-tom,
Yep, same temps & humidity across the border.......when your schedual loosens up, maybe start walking a little earlier & finish up around lunch to beat the afternoon heat.
I was home in time for an afternoon bbq.
Even had time to stop at some farmers roadside stalls on the way home & picked up juicy watermelon, pumpkin & some tomatoes.
Should of seen the other hammock shots....my camera only has a 10sec delay, so its a mad scramble to the hammock !
One leg in the air... hanging under the hammock....bumped the camera which in turn turned me into the headless hanger.
Trials & tribulations.
Thanks Jays,
I'm sure your better half & bank manager will have something say about that !
But it does sound good.......
