So, we did an overnight trip on Cross Timbers Trail at lake Texoma. The trail is well marked and pretty well taken care of and has some very nice views. We started at the trail head at Juniper Point West. Here are some pics of what we saw along the way.

The trail is 14 miles one way and there are some pretty serious elevation changes along the way. We passed lots of great spots to camp, but there were a couple of scout groups out there, so they had called dibs on most of the close spots. We actually ended up hiking in about 9 miles before we decided that was about as far as we cared to go (and there are few miles where there is no access to water.) We were all pretty worn out by the time we had camp set up, but a dip in the lake was the perfect pick me up. The water was pretty cool, but very refreshing after walking all that way.

I didn't sleep all that well, but it had nothing to do with my HH There were a few boats that kept coming by that would wake me, and the coyotes were out in force. It was cool to hear them so close though. We got up, had breakfast and headed back to the car. We were happy to see the car, but it was a great trip.
