I have trolled around reading up on overfill.
Some say overfill works well to boost the rating, others say it will just make the quilts rating more solid in wind etc.

My end goal is a 30°F very light, 3/4 UQ. (I have a 20°F UQ with overfill for colder weather)

We shall say the start point is a 3/4" UQ with 1" baffles, 4oz 900 fill down. Temp rating of 40°F.

If I wanted a rating of 30°F would adding a further 2-3oz 900 fill get me there comfortably.

Should I increase the baffle height to 1.5" and still use the 2-3oz extra down (6-7oz total fill)

My thoughts would be the increase in baffle height to 1.5" would be the better option compared to just overfilling the 1" baffles as it should allow that down to loft further, hence warmer.
