If you ain't havin' fun, you're doin' it wrong
I am free that whole weekend but I have no idea where to go if this don't work out.
Stealth??
I know what you're sayin. I've expended some hard fought boy-friend points for this one. You just don't get those back. I'm going to spend some time looking. There's a park in Sealy, but I don't know much about it.
Huntsville State Park??
Anyone have any experience hanging there?

State Parks are wonderful places. Most are more civilized than I like so bear that in mind as I comment.
That would be Stephen F. Austin State Park. It's a nice place, just don't forget to bring your 7 iron, it's much like camping in a city park and yes the golf course is in sight of the water only sites.
It's a nice place to take a family for a relaxed car camp trip and there's usually lots of deer to see, but definitely not primitive.
Also a nice park with some decent trails for a day hike and a nice little nature center. I've been there car camping in the cooler months and really enjoyed it. If it's warm and sunny weather, it's also a great place to go for a family picnic. Just ask the other 3000 families out there within 10' of each other. If you don't mind listening to the 18 wheeler sounds on I45 as you sleep, it's a winner.
Some other possibilities that I've been to parts of include Enchanted Rock SNA, Pedernales Falls State Park, and Lost Maple SNA. Each more secluded and worth considering.
Although I've not hiked it, I have done a car recon to parts of the Goodwater Trail that goes around Lake Georgetown and it's been highly recommended to me as has Hill Country SNA.
